Virtual Happy Hound Homecoming & Annual Walk 2020

Dear Friends of HART,

In a normal year we would be preparing for the annual “Happy Hound Homecoming & Annual Walk”. Unfortunately, we all know that we are not in normal times and must tweak a few things to survive. The annual walk is one of HART’s largest fundraisers, and we will need to supplement our income in another way. Like many shelters, we have decided to do a virtual walk as well as other fun contests the month of September.

Hopefully, you will join the fun and be able to donate for the care of the animals. Complete details can be found on the website at hartpets.org as well as on HART’s Facebook page.

Let’s have fun with these contests and show off our pets. A prize will be awarded to the winner of each group.

• September 6-12: We will hold a dog and owner look-alike contest. Photos can be submitted on Facebook or mailed to the shelter.

• September 13- 19: We will be hosting the “Annual Walk.” Donations can be made at HART, by mail or through our website. Please post pictures on Facebook of you and your dog out walking.

• September 20-26: We will hold a cat and owner look- alike contest. Photos can be submitted on Facebook or mailed to the shelter.

• September 27- October 3: We will hold a costume contest. Photos can be submitted on Facebook or mailed to the shelter.

Thank you for supporting HART through these tough times. It is truly heartwarming to see the care, concern and financial support the community has shown for HART. We are surviving the best we can and will continue to care for the unwanted, abused, neglected and stray animals in the community. Stay safe and have fun with the contests.
