Lucy

My mom is writing this for me because I'm all paws. My life is going very well. I am 11 months old now and believe it or not, I do have some manners. I sit and stay, take treats nicely, and I am potty trained. "Come here" doesn't work very well, but I am trying! Mom took me to Petco the other day and bought me a swayed pink coat with a cozy fleece inside. Pretty cool, but the boots had to go. I did not like them on my feet. Oh well, mom will have to carry me!

I am 16 inches tall and 14 pounds. I have a 13 lbs. friend named Max (he's pretty cool for being a boy). We play a lot and use the kitchen and living room as a race track. My mom gives me baths in the bathtub and boy, do I enjoy the drying off part! I love spending time under the blankets on the couch with my mom or mom's roommate Auntie Nancy. I am soo happy that you were there to give me shelter and love until I could find a forever home.

Keep up the GREAT work that you all do, it is appreciated!!!!!

Dear HART: There is not a day that goes by that I am not thankful for Lucy. My roommate and everyone around me knew of this precious gift for weeks and never spilled the beans. Thank you for all you do.

Italian Greyhounds have great rapport with gentle children who understand that this is a living creature and not a toy that can be manhandled.

A sweater or jacket is in order in cold weather. Although the IG is not as delicate as he looks, care must be taken to avoid situations that might result in a broken leg.
