Gus

My name is Gus. This is the name given me at the shelter and my family kept it because it seemed to fit.  I’m famous! My picture is on the envelopes that H.A.R.T. sends to request donations. I was small enough to fit in the palm of a hand when I came home but I’m all grown up now, though still not as big as my big brother, Chadwick. We call him Chaddy Cat, and he came from a shelter, too.

I’m as different as you can imagine personality-wise from Chaddy, though we love each other very much and as you can see we are a matched set. We spend the majority of our time doing just what you see pictured. The rest of the time we play and yes, we fight a bit. Typical brothers…

My family suspects I’m a dog in a catsuit. I love to play fetch. I like to lay with my legs stretched out behind me. I’m irresistibly cute but I’m not a lap cat. This means I get picked up a lot, I put up with it for about 15 seconds, and then it is time for me to go. My family is crazy about me, and life is pretty cozy. I wish all the cats and kittens could find a home and make other families as happy as mine!

Some fun facts about cats

Cats knead with their paws when they're happy.

A cat will almost never "meow" at another cat.  This sound is reserved for humans.

The more cats are spoken to, the more they will speak to you.
