Diamond and Jack
I
went to HART with the intent to adopt a older female cat that I had
seen on-line. When I got there, I saw two beautiful black and white
cats in one cage stretching their paws out so I would come pet them.
I went and played with them, but in the back of my mind I thought I
still wanted the female cat. The cat I came to look at was at a
foster home. So I went around and played with each of the other
cats, but kept looking back at the two brothers in their cage. I
asked about these two boys and the lady told me that they had been
at HART since they were kittens. That broke my heart.
I
didn't make a decision while I was at HART. I got in my car and
drove and called my husband, who is
allergic to cats, and asked him what he thought. He told me he was on
board with whatever decision I made. I called HART back and told
them that I wanted to adopt Diamond and Jack. When I got them home
they were a little scared, but it didn't take long for them to take
over the house. They love to play outside, as you can see from the
photo, and sleep. They are adjusting well to our two dogs. They are
curious, but not daring enough to go make friends with them just
yet. We are so happy to have them part of our family. Our two kids,
Dane and Lauren, love to play with them and each night there is a
kid and a cat in each bed. Thank you HART for taking care of our
boys. We look forward to adopting in the future. P.S. My husband is
happy to take a daily Zyrtec so the boys can be in the house.
