Bruno

I had wanted a dog for two years. I searched for pets that needed homes online and saw Bruno’s face and fell in love instantly. My boyfriend and I drove from St. Cloud to Brainerd to meet him. He was so cute and full of energy. We brought him outside to see what he was like outside of the kennel. We ran around and played ball.  He was such a happy dog, always wanting to have human contact.

For the next three days all I thought about was him, without talking about it with anyone else (including my boyfriend), I drove back up to the shelter and adopted him. Now the three of us are happy in our new home in Elk River. Bruno loves to play with everything, he makes coming home a joy. He enjoys being our alarm clock and waking us up in the wee hours of the morning for some hugs and kisses. Bruno loves car rides, and going anywhere we take him (even to the vet)!  We couldn’t be happier! Thank you H.A.R.T for bringing our little family together!

Interactions

Dog society can be thought of as dog packs characterized by a companionate hierarchy, in which each individual has a rank, and in which there is intense loyalty within the group.

In healthy relationships, the human is more often than not the alpha or leader.
